We built the supplements we couldn’t buy
gram started because the shelf was full of bottles that looked serious and weren’t. Big claims on the front, a rounding error’s worth of the active ingredient on the back. We thought someone should just do it properly.

It started with a drawer full of things that didn’t work
Our founder spent years telling patients which supplements were worth taking, and the honest answer was usually “none of these.” The doses were too low to matter. The forms were chosen because they were cheap to press, not because the body could use them. And the interesting-sounding ingredients were almost always at the bottom of a proprietary blend, where nobody has to tell you how much is in there.
The frustrating part wasn’t that good supplements didn’t exist. It was that you couldn’t tell which ones they were without a background in biochemistry and an afternoon to spare.
So we started gram with one rule that turned out to decide everything else: publish the number. If a formula works, the label proves it. If it doesn’t, no amount of packaging is going to fix that.
“A supplement label should be readable by the person taking it — not just by the person selling it.”
Formulated by scientists, not marketers
Every gram formula starts with the published research and works backwards — clinical doses first, then the label. If a study doesn’t support it, it doesn’t go in the bottle.
“I got tired of turning over bottles and finding twelve milligrams of something that needs four hundred. So we built the supplements I actually wanted to recommend.”
Six rules we don’t bend
Not a mission statement. These are the decisions that actually change what ends up in the bottle.
Clinical doses or nothing
Every active ingredient is dosed at the amount used in the published research. If we can’t hit that dose, the ingredient doesn’t go in.
The whole label, every time
No proprietary blends. Every milligram of every active is printed on the bottle, so you can check our work against the studies yourself.
Forms your body can use
Chelated minerals, methylated B vitamins, D3 with K2. Cheap oxides and folic acid are cheaper for a reason.
Tested by someone else
Every production run goes to an independent lab for identity, potency, heavy metals and microbials. We publish the certificate.
Claims we can stand behind
We talk about what a formula supports, not what it cures. Where the evidence is thin, we say so rather than reaching for a better adjective.

Seven years, twelve formulas
- 2019
One formula, one rule
gram launched with Foundation and a promise to print every dose in full. Two hundred bottles, packed in a rented unit in Austin.
- 2021
Testing goes public
We started publishing a certificate of analysis for every production run rather than only producing one when a customer asked.
- 2023
The reformulation nobody asked for
We rebuilt four formulas around better-absorbed mineral forms. It cost more per bottle and we didn’t raise the price.
- 2024
200,000 customers
Still twelve formulas. We’ve turned down more line extensions than we’ve launched, which is the point.
- 2026
Where we are now
Same rule, more people checking our maths — which is exactly what publishing the number was for.
What we won’t do
Most of what makes a supplement brand trustworthy is a list of shortcuts it decided not to take.
Hide doses in a proprietary blend
Every active printed at its exact milligram amount.
Fairy-dust an ingredient for the label
If we can’t reach the studied dose, we leave it out.
Make a disease claim
We describe what a formula supports, and nothing more.
Trap you in a subscription
Cancel, pause or skip in two clicks. No retention call.
Invent a new bottle every quarter
Twelve formulas. We’d rather fix one than launch another.
Ask you to trust us
Independent lab results, published per batch.
Small team, long arguments
Everyone here has said no to something that would have sold better. That’s roughly the hiring criterion.
Dr. Maya Ellison
Founder & Head of Formulation
PhD in nutritional biochemistry. Reads the methods section before the abstract.
Rafael Ortiz
Head of Quality
Twelve years in cGMP manufacturing. Signs off every certificate of analysis.
Priya Nayar
Head of Sourcing
Audits the suppliers in person. Has walked away from cheaper raw material more than once.
Jordan Hale
Head of Customer Care
Runs the team that answers the phone. Believes “I don’t know, let me check” is a complete sentence.
Read the label. Then decide.
Every dose is printed in full and every batch is tested by an independent lab. Take one bottle for sixty days — if it doesn’t earn its place, we’ll refund you.
